could anybody tell me how to say hello friend in glasgow? or any other greetings.

I've heard of a Glasgow kiss. Is that what you mean?

not that I live in scotland anymore - but it's not been that long....

to my mates in glasgow I usualy say "aw'right?" (all right?) as a way of greeting them. to my brother i usually say "aw'right bawbag!"... but I'll leave you to google that one to find out what it means?? Wink


these usually only works if you can fake a really annoying nasal west of scotland accent!!! (can you tell I'm from the east??? hehehehe)


you'll find a good list of glesga slang if you look for "glasgow patter" in wikipedia!

Hey well a live in Hamilton kinda near Glasgow n most people say awrite mate for 'hello friend' but just tae let you know a Glesga Kiss...is a headbutt Laughing so suggest ye dont try that Very Happy
