How do you distinguish "searching" and "seeking"?
English into Latin
Hi. George,
the lines between seeking and searching are pretty blurred, but I would feel that "seeking" is perhaps more an activity of the mind, while "searching" is likely to be a physical activity.
However, there is probably only one appropriate Latin definition for both, I expect.
Given that distinction, I would use "quaerere" for "seek" and "explorare"
for "search".
Forever Seeking
Sempiternum Quaerens
Forever Searching
Sempiternum Explorans
Always Seeking
Semper Quaerens
Always Searching
Semper Explorans
Perpetually Seeking
Perpetuo Quaerens
Endlessly Searching
Sine Fine Explorans
