Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who
were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had
syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion ?
I've read this puzzle/question before, but this time I'd like to comment on Quetion 1...
Where is the problem that a person is deaf? Or blind?
Would life present some challenges for them? Sure, but live presents challenges to people who can see or hear as well. Being deaf or blind from birth is hardly the end of the world, especially in this day and age.
Walk up to any blind or deaf person, and ask them if they think their mother should have abort them.
As far as mental retardation...what is the severity? are there other health issues? Is this person happy and in anyway contribute to the happiness of others?
What about a woman who had 8 children, 5 of which were born missing a hand or foot? Would we advise her to abort the next one?
You know what a deaf person CAN'T do?.....hear.
You know what a blind person CAN'T do?.....see.
You know what a lot of people driving on highways right now can't do?....drive safely. You know what they ARE doing? Risking any number of other people lives.
Should these drivers have been aborted also?
Whoever first came up with that question is a dumbass.
