Some of the girls going together to the mall.
is this a sentence fragment? explain for me in detail,plz!

It should be. "Some of the girls ARE going together to the mall." In your sentence, the verb was omitted.

All sentences should have subject and verb. No verb in that fragment.

A sentence should convey information.

"Some of the girls going together to the mall" doesn't say anything. What did they do? Shoplift? Picket for peace? Strip? Commit mass suicide?
