Give us hard tummies behind the cummerbund and long swimmer's muscles under the hound's tooth so that we may enjoy our long life.
what does 'hound's tooth' refer to?
a T-shirt?or just the teeth of a hound?
Houndstooth is actually a pattern....{we used to have a loveseat with a houndstooth pattern} but from the context I would say it means a shirt or jacket, something that is covering the shoulders and arms...with a houndstooth pattern on it.
Yep, that's it.
I hated that couch.
It's just too high frequency to be attractive
The hounds tooth could be pants, too.
True...and the writer could have been thinking of an entire suit...that would cover both legs and arms being swimmer like.
I was trying to think of a more well known phrase...such as...."That girl looks good in a pair of Levi's"....Levi's being equal to denim pants, and they don't actually have to be "Levi's" to get the point across...but that is a brand name, not a pattern.
Tartan = kilt....usually.
Hounds tooth was originally a pattern in hand-woven tweed, an expensive fabic used for "country" clothing among the upper classes.
Made exclusively from Jacob's (breed) sheep, an otherwise totally usesless animal with horns sticking out all over its head so itd always be getting itself stuck in fences.
Im having an annoying morning. I must get something to eat before I snap over some dumb sheep breed.
