Can relate to your situtaion, my mother inlaw is always in our back pocket, asset wise she is in a much better place than us, but does that stop her, hell no! On the bright side, my marriage is on it's knees, so she won't be my problem for much longer.

first my mom wanted all my money I would send her my whole paycheck . She would write back is this all you can send me where is the rest? Finally she told me I was quite easy to fool with sob stories. Now its been ten years since I moved out of her house and she still upset I will not send her money !
