Can someone tell me what the following says in English please?

"sic itur ad astra"

I found "sic itur ad astra: Thus do we reach the stars."

I checked a few sites to make sure that is what it meant.
That is what several sites said it meant. I like to use more than
one source to verify something. Thank you again.
