Hey Snood, some of your best friends are black, right?
How much anguish have they experienced due to Obama's unconscionable silence?
...haveta get back to ya on that one.
You must know, Setanta, that Snood's friends are still under shock. He can't talk to them just yet.
I will await enlightenment with proper, demure silence.
Heeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheehee . . .
Busted ! ! !
Dude, every black person I know is so tickled by the idea of an Obama presidency that his "reaction" or lack of reaction to Imus ain't even on the radar, to speak of.
Seriously, I think everyone I know that is paying attention to his candidacy would have a reaction if this was something Obama needed to be making noise about - it just isn't.

Huh. Gotta be this black self-hatred thing I once heard about.
Discretion is the better part of valor. Gaining the black vote and losing a good part of the white one is not politically intelligent.
Who's doing that? Surely not Obama? Are you suggesting he could lose votes because of this?
Snood
No of course not. He has too much political savvy for that. Imo the smart thing to do is to condemn Imus and at the same time condemn the black rap artists and comedians that spew that garbage on a regular basis. I have yet to hear any of the outraged people say word one about that
So what or who were you referring to when you said it wasn't politically smart to gain the black vote and lose the white?
Snood
I was commenting about Obama's reason, IMO, for not coming on strong.
I really don't think it's that calculated... I think it's more general than that. This is just the kind of political sniping/ empty point-scoring he wants to get away from.
I don't think its calculated - much. He just now called for Imus to be fired.
MSNBC cancels simulcast of 'Imus in the Morning;' Obama first presidential candidate to call for radio host's firing

kickycan, it was ridiculous. Especially since last time Imus promised never to do it again.
I guess he bent to the wishes of Al "Charlatan" and Jessie "Hymie town" Jackson.
