Does anyone know where i can purchase a coconut palm tree. I know my conditions at my place are not favorable for growing, but i am willing to take my chances...
They don't grow very well in WV.
I've seen garden centers in Florida selling palms, I don't know if they were coconut or not. I would think that there would be some nurserys/garden centers around Galvaston or along the coast that might sell palms. Or you could just plant a coconut.
The coconut takes 9 months to sprout and most in stores have the husk already removed which makes it no longer good to plant.. I found a place in Florida but he wont ship because you have to have a minimum order like a truck load.. Dang they are only $30.00 for a 7 ft tree. I am gonna check a nursury and see if they can order for me..
That's pretty sad when i live in this area and have to ask advice on finding a coconut palm tree and Lar all the way in WV tells me to try Galveston.. They have ton's of em... Thanks, Lar...
Glad to be of assistance, put lots of miracle grow on that baby and I'll be down for some fresh coconut shrimp and pina coladas.
