It spins and will engage the ring gear, but no combustion in the cylinder. The starter sounds like crap ... weak and whining. I think I'm screwed. Laughing

Gotta full charge (load not static) on that battery? Often when a scooter sits, the batter cells will decay, coating the electrode plates. This makes the battery check static at a full 12 volts, but under any load the available voltage drops significantly. the result is a weak spinning starter and no additional amperage available for the coil or elec ignition. This is pretty common and a trickle battery charger will not resolve it as it cannot clean the plates from the long idle time.

Best solutions are: 1. get it started with a small shot of ether, (button or kick) 2. Take the battery in to have it properly charged or use your own Full charge charger (not trickle) or 3. Get a new battery.

I would definitely try 2 of these 3 before I wasted time and money taking it in to an HD (stands for Hunert Dollers) shop to get it looked at. Try this stuff first, or I can come over an get her poppin. (No charge ceptin Cervezas frias)

Hey...I know you all are tired of talking answers to the bygone quiz, but we are still wondering what some of the answers were. Can I ask if any of you got this for the Main street hotel?

Had the battery on the tender all winter. After the first attempt, put it on the 2 amp charger overnight. Tested static at 12.5 but not under load (only have two hands) and need a third to hit that starter button. Laughing

PS - Mi Casa plenty o' Cerveza Frias

We looked at that, but isn't it a museum now? If you look at the one I linked, it was designated a Texas landmark in 2005, and the website says they have "bounding charters (hop on board), and it is called "The Main" and is located on "Main" street......oh well....se la vi I guess.

Man ya gotta quit agonizing. This contest was akin to a lottery. Each of the 100 questions had numerous possible answers, all good. If you picked the ones the Marlboro chose ... you go to the ranch. I'm sure there were many instances where Marlboro didn't even select the "best" answer as their "correct" answer. That's another reason why they don't post the official answers. I didn't get a trip to the ranch, but I learned a great deal more about the West, and made some great friends here along the way.

You probably didn't see me complaining towards the end of the contest. I had ZERO help from my three teammates. The ONLY thing they did was sign the application. I had to fill it out for them and copy their drivers' licenses. Mad
