Bomb scare at St Eds... too close. We should push south of Ben White to ensure our safety...

I'm kidding, speaking of kids, this Ron Day Voo will either have to include my whole family, or my wife will have to stay home while I meet you fine folks. Also, I'm just getting over some sort of throat issue, not strep, it just hurts to swallow. Good times. Embarrassed

Friday Night :: This is unconfirmed, but my band might be playing at Cedar Street. So if you're in the area of the OTHER Ruta Maya, you can stand on 4th and listen, or pay the 5$ or 10$ and come down the stairs and party with the martini types.

I'll post here when I know we're on (or off).

Just got confirmation ... I'll be at Cedar Street Courtyard from 9:30p to 1:30 a. You can hear and watch the band just fine from the street level. Cover charge may be $10, not sure. I hate cover charges... if a club wants to make money, it should be at the bar, not at the door. I know a 10-dollar cover will keep some of the riff-raff from coming in, but now I have become that riff-raff ! Evil or Very Mad

I've never heard anyone say that my entire life. I don't take any kind of offense to it, that's such an interesting comment, given all the variances and genres out there.

The modern rock has certainly taken the TALENT out of the mix and replaced it with MARKETABILITY, so new music on the radio all sounds the same to me.

I remember reading about a condition certain people have where music causes acute epileptic seisures ... it's not full-on body convulsion, but the brain is misinterpreting the sound as white noise.

Not even Sinatra?

I have to REALLY enjoy a band to enjoy them live.

I am not a big fan of live music either.
I like to be able to control the volume, pause when I have to piss, and sing along without anyone hearing me.

I have been to 3 concerts in my whole life.

I have been to 2 bars in Austin . One played music.
I have been here for.. ehh.. 7? years? some where around there..

BUT-
If you come over to my home with out announcing, I will have music playing.

I enjoy music, but not too much.

Like Chai said, when I was young it was important.
Now that Im an adult.. to hell with what people think of my music choice.

Slayer rules!!!! Yeah BABY!!! Laughing

So if there's no music when you ring the doorbell, be prepared to wait.
