Perhaps I am missing the point here but, Spendius; who has read and quoted from many literary masterpieces (an impressive book) is followed by; a ?'pop' spiritualist who worries about the lack of a paddle when 'up a creek in a barbed wire canoe'. I would suggest you concentrate on a design makeover for the hull and forget the means of propulsion.
