Down the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem that day the soldiers tried to clear the narrow street
But the crowd pressed in to see the man condemned to die on Calvary
Down the Via Dolorosa on the way of suffering, like a lamb came the Messiah,
Christ the King, but he chose to walk that road out of His love for you and me
Down the Via Dolorosa all the way to Calvary
Here's my take on it:
Down the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem that day the soldiers tried to
clear the narrow street
Per Viam Dolorosam in Hierusalem in illa die milites plateam angustam
expedire conati sunt
But the crowd pressed in to see the man condemned to die on Calvary
Sed turba ad hominem in loco Calvariae mori condemnatum videndum
inruerent
Down the Via Dolorosa on the way of suffering, like a lamb came the
Messiah,
Per Viam Dolorosam in via doloris, quasi agnus Messias venit
Christ the King, but he chose to walk that road out of His love for
you and me
Christus Rex, sed in illa via propter pro te et me caritatem ambulare
elegit
Down the Via Dolorosa all the way to Calvary
Per Viam Dolorosam per totam viam ad locum Calvariae
