Can some one please help me translate these phrases into latin, its for a school project, i am designing a coat of arms for a make believe country and i want correct latin on it i am anal about stuff:
" To live by the sword, is to die by the sword"
"Live by the sword, and choose to be free"
"Never surrender"
"it is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees"
"our people will/shall shed no blood"
"continue the struggle"
"Our people"
Anybody out there get the idea behind my fierce country, care to contribute to my project? Many thanks to all who respond........
" To live by the sword, is to die by the sword"
Gladio vivere est gladio mori
"Live by the sword, and choose to be free"
Gladio vive et liber esse elige
"Never surrender"
Nunquam cede
"it is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees"
Melior est stans pedibus tuis mori quam nixus genibus vivere
"our people will/shall shed no blood"
Gens nostra nullum sanguinem effuderit
"continue the struggle"
certaminem extende
"Our people"
Gens nostra
Thank you very much, this will help!
