'Boating lake' in Latin

Hi everyone

I am a professional writer and am writing a novel entitled MOONLETS ACTION SQUAD in which Latin plays a key part. My Latin is not bad but I badly need a Latin translation of the word 'boating-lake' (for US readers this is a lake at an English recreation park where model boats or little rowing boats are sailed.)

Does anyone have an idea what 'boating-lake' would be in Latin? I do not imagine the Romans had such a thing so maybe a made up compound would work?

All best

Thanks George.

Very helpful! So what would the translation of

'in the boating lake' be?

as in the sentence 'I saw the boat in the boating lake.'
