That is truly disgusting OE. And I mean that in the most pukable way possible.

Thanks. I was trying to reciprocate.

Apparently, I've been successful.

Does meat in plastic packages not bother you?

Truly thanks on the New Harvest heads up though - those folks need to be stopped.

I'm sorry I perfer my meat to be living at one point and not be grown in a dish. That just sounds anti-natural to me. I know the meat I eat now is pumped full of crap to help the animal grow, but at least it was a breathing animal before it ended up on my plate.

Not if it's biodegradable plastics:

Quote:
Three generations of starch-based plastics are recognized. The first generation consists of a synthetic polymer. Starch is only used as a filling material it's polymeric properties are not made use of. An example are "biodegradable" plastic bags. These bags are not fully biodegradable, though, since they consist of mainly non-biodegradable synthetic polymers like polyethylene or polypropene and only 5-20 percent starch. Under special conditions the starch degrades and the plastic falls apart into small particles, that will prevail for many years although they are not visible.

In the second generation the starch is used for its polymeric properties. It is blended with hydrophilic synthetic polymers and contributes to the strength of the material. 50-80% starch can be used in these plastics, but still a large part is not biodegradable.

The third generation is a truly biodegradable plastic, that does not contain synthetic polymers at all. To improve some of the properties of the plastic, the biopolymer may be modified, but no synthetic materials are necessary.

Your welcome. In fact, here's a link to their website. Why don't you go and write them an angry letter?

You know OE, you guys really need to work on your refrigeration skills before you worry about biodegrading plastic.

It doesn't surprise me at all that a company like that is being promoted by the veggie-anti types. They truly hate humanity and will wind up making Soylent Green just like in the movie.

Oh, come on, cjhsa.... You know that our refrigeration skills, just like our engineering skills, are outstanding.

(What's that in your avatar?)

Refrigeration skills go beyond building a refrigerator.

That goes without saying. But still, our refrigeration skills are outstanding.

...

Come to think about it, I guess you're just jealous because you have a speed limit on your highways and we don't.

Really.

So you can drink a bunch of warm beer then go crash your Porshe at 200KPH into the back of an unrefrigerated Volvo truck full of shinken?

You're welcome.

And I do remember that you started this thread. And my posts were on topic. Even as you wandered off to discussing refrigeration skills.

Right?
