Hi everybody, I don't know the exact time but I think it was the last year
when this happened. My little nephew ( six years old) had a small thorn
pricked him right in his foot. It was the front of his right foot ( instep ).
I took him to the hospital. After the doctor saw him, he said that there is
nothing in his foot. We came back home with some pills and that was all.
Now, the young boy has a problem which actually started since long time
after the hospital visit.
There is this small lump or knot like if I can say in the same place where
the pricking thing happened. He doesn't feel anything or complain from
anything however.
I wonder what that small thing is. Anyway, I'm taking him tomorrow to a
good hospital out of my place.
Is this has something to do with nerves maybe?
Appreciate any thought.
Well, surely a doctor knows better than I do. But a doctor will probably ask or observe things like -- is there pain? Is there full range of motion? Infection? Swollen lymph nodes? Itching?
It could just be scar tissue, but it's still a good idea to get it checked out. If it was nerves or a bone spur he would feel it. Tumors often have no pain associated with them.
I'm also thinking that if he had a foreign object left in his foot that it could be a little scar tissue or a small collection of fluid. I'm glad to hear it's not bothering him much.
My brother gets hard lumps under his skin; he's been advised that they are calcium deposits and do not present a health risk.
No idea how accurate that assessment is, though.
We can not rule out the possibility of a manitou.
navigator, in case you think I am making light of this suject of the lump, think again, my friend. There was such a case.
fear the manitou
Gus, for shame. (I saw that movie)
Navigator, this might be the case:

Thanks everybody, doctor said it's nothing. It's just small fat sack if I'm
right. We did x-ray and it was fine. He didn't give us anything and told us
to come after two months if it didn't go by itself.
