Nigel just received his first college acceptance. Glory Halleluia! Now we
can wait with some degree of calmness for the others.

Great news, George. When you graduate, see if you can't touch up the spelling in the title.

Congrats, George!

Just wondering: are those "degrees of calmness" accredited officially?

You may be on to something.
"He's working on his masters in calmness."
"Really?"
"Yes he's been awarded a Mellow Fellowship at Whatsamatta U"
"He's a Mellow Fellow? Excellent!"

Good for Nigel.

Twenty years from now he'll understand why you and Mrs. George are celebrating so happily.

He's pretty happy himself, right now.

None of the schools he applied to are what I would call "safety schools,"
and I took him over the coals about it. Then he got deferred by his first
choice. It began to dawn on him that there was a possiblity he would not
be accepted at any of them.

The Lovely Bride was convinced all along that he would be accepted by at
least one school on his list and is now smiling that Mona Lisa smile.

Good for Youth & Innocence.

Of course you're glad that you were wrong. Some of the finest parental moments are rejoicing in parental error.
