Now this picture was, admittedly, more of a grower. The first time I saw it, I kinda liked it but didnt think all too much of it - just a nice pic. But when I came back and saw it again and yet again, I liked it ever more. There's something sad and Russian an classic and quietly dramatic about it. I dunno.

But it's a bit unfair to have this one be the first photo of the Flickr poster Emmanuel Smague that I post, because a lot of his other photos should surely be far more instantanous a hit. This one, for example, should be a crowd-pleaser.

So I'll add a second one here as bonus as well, (also because it reminds me a lot of Holland, though it was apparently taken in France):
