My granddaughter should be arriving in less than a month

Denise called me at 3:30 this morning - they had the membrane sweep yesterday, but it didn't trigger anything, so this morning they were in to get her water broken. If that doesn't help, they'll be inducing her later today. She will be a spring baby one way or the other - spring is officially here at 5:07 p.m. PST.

Yaeh, Lucy will be a spring baby - that's great! I love that name!

Very Auspicious. Furthermore, if Lucy dwaddles a little and emerges tomorrow, she'll still have some birthdays on the first of spring.

Well! Lucy Elise is finally here, born at 10:46 a.m. (EST), weighing in at 8 lbs 7 oz, no drugs or painkillers, and only 3.5 hours after they broke her water.

I heard her squeaking and squawking in the background, so she's a 'talker', just like her brother.

Unlike Oliver, who was blond, Lucy has dark, curly, hair, and lots of it

Thanks, everyone, for sharing this with me. I can't wait till March 29th, when I get to visit They're sending pics tomorrow, so as soon as I get one, I'll post it.
