The virus that causes AIDS is tricky. The medical community has had trouble developing a vaccine because of the ever-changing quality of the virus' surface. Proteins there change and we can't make an antibody that is continuously changing. Researchers found one protein which doesn't change. They can lock onto that protein and develop a vaccine which promotes antibodies to attack that specific antibody.
