No thanks. I feel better now. But just to clear things up, that is not whining. It is throwing a virtual hissy fit.

Yeah, I've been here for about five months. I'm feeling much better about it now though. For a little while though, I had that old familiar rage in my gut like I used to get all the time when I worked for JPMorgan. That feeling was the reason I left my permanent job and started freelancing about a year-and-a-half ago.

Now that I've reminded myself of the fact that I'm a freelance guy now, and that I really do have the power to just quit if I want, I'm feeling a lot better. Just had a little freakout there for a while. Actually, this job has been so good up until the last week or so. Not exactly the perfect job, but it has been more than tolerable.

I'll give them a little more time before I bust out of there.

I guess no one told you Kicky, but the freelance guy is like a diaper, he has to as absorb all the poop that the regular employees throw at him.

So a freelance guy is essentially an independent contractor? Just another fancy title that translate to Hey, sucka...we ain't givin you any benefits!

Friggin companies. Fock 'em all.

I agree, Gus. Plus, they hired me through an agency, and those good people are taking somewhere around 20-30% of my paycheck every week. Bastards.

Yep, GW, I guess I just forgot about that for a little while. Oh well, I won't be here too much longer anyway. I really should try to control my emotions at work though. I hope nobody notices the dent in the file cabinet where I threw the stapler at it.

Here, throw it at the new guy at my office. He's young and may have good reflexes.

I love to oive on regular occasions, but it's so damned expensive to oive properly nowadays.

I think I'll move to Raleigh.

Thanks, and it does sound good, but you don't have subways. I need cheap transportation for getting home when I'm drunk. However, if you agree to pick me up and drive me where ever I need to go whenever I need a ride cuz I'm too drunk to drive, I'm in.

Oh, then move to Austin.

We have no subways
The buses are only for those who need to go downtown or have all day to get somewhere. (checking the internet site, I see my 20 minute car commute would take and hour and a half on the bus with at least one transfer)

BUT.....!!!!!
If you're drunk, one of the cab companies will drive you home for FREE!!!!

Austin, the city where the oiving is sporadic at best.

Atlanta has pretty good public transport as long as you don't move to the burbs. Plenty of work here, too.
