Is going out with a femail friend cheating?

Can't even contemplate an answer without more detail ...

1. did his wife know he was intending to see his friend before he saw her?

2. what happened when they met up? (did they go to a movie, out for coffee or a wine or something else?)

3. what are your friend's true intensions toward his female friend .. what was his motivation for seeing her? (especially without his wife being present)

4. if his wife didn't know before he saw his female friend, does she know now?

Rule of thumb: If the man is not comfortable about discussing the time he spent with this woman to his wife, it's cheating!
