I have a Latin phrase from a family coat of arms. Although I have translated the individual words, I am unable to put it into a phrase that makes sense as I have had no Latin schooling. Can anyone help?
dei.dono.sum.quod.sum.
The second word is actually spelled donno, but I could not find a correct translation for that. Thanks for your help.
By the grace of god I am what I am.
Btw, donno really is spelled with 2 "n" - nothing wrong with your ancestors' spelling.
Many thanks. I certainly didn't get that from individual word translation.
