After I finished my errands earlier today, we grabbed the dogs and drove over to Harveys (cue music and sing - Harveys makes a hamburger a beautiful thing) - picked up some burgers and poutine and headed to the b.e.a.c.h.

Sat in the car and had a picnic - the dogs really enjoyed their shared kiddie burger (no toppings).

Then we set out for a little walking adventure along the waterfront. Cleo enjoyed the puddles, Bailey enjoyed climbing on all the ice ridges, we all laughed.

Now we're home, nursing over-stuffed bellies - and everyone else is snoozing and snoring

Spring flowers Shocked

We're expecting another big snow storm from this afternoon into tomorrow. Apparently the Chicago area got whacked yesterday. It's heading (duum duum duum) this way now.

The dogs will be giddy once those big soft flakes of snow start drifting down.

I'm washing and drying some of my polar fleece snow pants and jackets in preparation.

Danon- Very Happy

So I found my snowdrops and primroses yesterday, and this morning I woke up to a white world. Snow over night. Nice as long it lasted.
Now it is gone, and the temps are rising again.

snow in transiency- sounds nice.
Yes, it was a very short visit. It is getting warmer daily.
We haven't had much rain or snow around Vienna- everything is far too dry. Nature could use more water. NOW I prefere rain to snow.

The next weeks will be fun- Africa project.

Not a flurry here- mild- the forthytias are blooming. Golden hedges.

Learning about trees in Afrika.

Cream of Tartar tree, monkey-bread tree, lemonade tree (Eng.) or baobab. An interesting tree and I love the folk stories anout it.

You're special - as is all Wildclickers. Because we care.

ul, that is an especially good link for that tree.

The paragraph about the bar interested me =
Quote:
Another tree near Leydsdorp was used as a bar (known as the Murchison Club) and utilized by prospectors and miners during the gold rush of the late 19th century. One such tree in the Caprivi Strip was converted into a toilet, complete with a flushing system.

Quite extroardinary............. Shocked
