Okay -- as much as I have a problem with a lot of Repug ideals, I think that the neocons are running the "regular" republicans into the ground. I think that Violet's post is a good description of the ruling republicans (with the suggested addition of "Poor and middle class people" alongside "dark skinned"), but I don't think that they represent all republicans. As for those who are dark-skinned, I'm in a quandry as to what the hell they're thinking by supporting and participating in the current administration -- that goes for the women who support and participate in it, as well. I figure it's one of two things: either they believed whatever lies they were told by the Bushies when they were invited to participate, or they do hate themselves (or at least their background). Or both. (shrug)

And, I don't know who said something that led me to this: Don't look now, but the Republicans don't have all the bigots. Just more than our fair share.

I wonder if you have to be gay to join the Log Cabins? They are having a hard time with some of our anal retentives. They are meeting in Texas, and getting harrassed. Think of all the homo pop-ups I'll get if I join... Ah well. The price one pays for freedom and equality.

LibertyD-- You should cruise the website. They are people, who believe in the basic tenets of the Republican party. They are tired of feeling that they have only one party's principles to choose. It's alot like a civil rights struggle.

They have fought their way into society, and now they are fighting for inclusion into the party of their choice.

For those of you who take offense at my words

I "wrote" it this morning while I was cleaning the cat litter (my time to let my thoughts rant while I still have that "just woke up" demeanor - my husband knows to stay out of my way). Anyway, I thought it was kinda funny, and true, albeit in a somewhat brutal way.

I posted it, and now I'm forced to defend it
