Congressional Black Caucus gives Jefferson standing ovation
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- On the same day that the 110th Democratic-led Congress convenes with a plan to immediately pass lobbyist and ethics reforms, the Congressional Black Caucus Thursday gave a standing ovation to Rep. William Jefferson, the Louisiana Democrat who faces an FBI probe into bribery allegations.

"The haters... and negative nabobs...the people who spoke against him couldn't prevail against the people who spoke for him," Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, master of ceremonies for the CBC's celebratory event, said Thursday morning.

Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, led the charge to remove Jefferson from the House Ways and Means Committee last spring and has said she will not consider reinstating him to the powerful post until he is cleared of all allegations.

The FBI is currently conducting an investigation that alleges Jefferson accepted $100,000 from a telecommunications businessman -- $90,000 of which was later recovered in the congressman's freezer.

This one showcases the problems with the demokkkrat party. I can easily enough tolerate somebody being twenty degrees to the left or right of me politically. What I CAN'T tolerate with the dems is the gangsterism, and the racism.

Basic reality is that racism was legally dead and buried in America in 1964, and that was too good for libs and de-mokkker-rats, they had to reinvent it.

The reason is simple enough. Dems never learned any new skills after about 1932; all they even claim to be any good at is representing victims, and they work 24-hour shifts at CREATING victims where none exist in nature. They clearly view blacks as one of their wholy-owned victim groups.

With one glaring exception: a negro who has whatever it must take to actually make it here from Africa on his own is clearly too bright to be a demokkkrat and the dems actually show zero interest in him.

Thus, when I go to use ATM machines or do just about any sort of thing involving interaction with any sort of government agency any more, the first thing I ever hear or see is "Choose a Language: English or Spanish", while, at the same time, I never see any sort of a choice of Bantu, Swahili, Ethiopian, or any of the 30 different languages spoken by African people in the neighborhood where I live, and those people invariably learn English within a year of getting here if they didn't know it already.

Now, somebody like Quinton Tarrentino would almost certainly observe all of that and come to the entirely logical conclusion that it was the official position of the US government and major arms of the American business and banking community, that hispanics were fifty times less intelligent than negros and, actually, that isn't exactly the precise way that Tarrantino would phrase it, but you get the idea.

What is obviously going on however is that African blacks are never going to be numerous enough here to constitute any sort of a worthwhile or worth-bothering-with victim group for the demokkkrats.

This may come as a surprise to you, gunga, but ATMs are owned by banks. And last I checked, Democrats don't own the banks.

The situation arises because of the sheer numbers of mexicans coming here illegally and that is largely if not entirely due to the machinations of the demokkkrat party.

Like I say, if I were a Mexican, I'd be pissed beyond words since those signs on ATMS and everywhere else would clearly indicate that somebody had me figured for the stupidest SOB on the fricking planet.

It's like listening to a drunk, insane child preach the gospel of satan, or trying to read the reamblings of someone writing while in a blackout.

This wasn't on the floor of the House, it was at a party. I've been to enough fund raisers and rallies to know that just about ANYONE can get a standing ovation ---

"And over there is Nimh, one of our most valued members here at A2k." (Uproarious applause, whistles and shouts) and right here is Joe who is going to sweep up after we leave today!!" (Uproarious applause, whistles and shouts.)

I'm sounding like one of the hairsplitters here when I say that the CNN reporter does not do us the kindness of telling us who else got a standing ovation at the "CBC's celebratory event".

All that aside, all of gungasnake's weird ramblings about creating victims where none exist and how that is connected to bi-lingual ATMs causes me to wonder what is in the water around his neck of the woods?

There are a number of issues on which there is little if anything to choose between dems and republicans, but the gangsterism issue is pretty clear. Any republican who comes under any sort of a shadow of wrongdoing is pretty nearly instantly gone while the dems will fight to the last man and go to the wall to keep one of their own no matter what. A demmy pol could be shown to be raping nuns and girlscouts and streaking Pennsylvania Ave. in daylight and they go straight to the wall for him.

I was hoping for some sort of a black perspective on the threads on the subject of Durham NC and their psycho DA, and was starting to worry something might have happened to you there, Snood.

Forget about Durham for a moment, and let's talk about Baltimore and the great benefit which the black kids there get from the demokkkrat control which prevails there.

This is a true story. A friend of mine's mother got tired of living in nazi Germany around 1933 - 34, and eloped with an American merchant sailor and settled down with him in Baltimore. Aside from raising kids, she took up teaching piano and German language in Baltimore city schools.

Now, the regular NEA/Demokkkrat teachers there told her that the kids there were basically dangerous and that they were not capable of learning anything, and that all teaching there was, was a job, but my friends mother never really bought into that and went on teaching both Piano and German as if she were teaching English kids, and the funny thing was that there was no obvious way to avoid "sounding white" while speaking German; pretty much EVERYBODY sounds white when speaking German, at least if you do it properly.

Several people in that old neighborhood told me that there were numerous cases in which those kids would simply get hooked into German in those classes because they found it interesting and that, at the point at which they graduated, an English speaking person would have taken them for street negros while a German speaking person would have taken them for educated people.

What's wrong with the picture, at least so far as the city schools were/are concerned?

Jesus said that a man can't serve two masters and the de-mokkker-rat party has several major problems along such lines, none more glaring than the conflict of interests between their inner-city constituency and their NEA paymasters.

Blacks are basically getting ****ed by this relationship.
