It is easy, doofus. The first wash you do is the heavier stuff, usually the dark wash, so that gets a head start in drying. Then you do whites which are usually cotton and which dry rapidly. And then you let it stay out there (unless rain is threatening) until everything is dry. Simple.

Mornin' all. Had to go back and read code's poem. I must say I was a bit confused to the exact meaning but the diction was terrif.

Code, you ought to post it to original writing. People miss things on these long threads in their head, and also in their heart.

so i just walk out to the front yard and light up a cig, this guy is walking down the sidewalk in front of the house reading his bible, sees me and looks up saying "are you born again?"
so i says to him "my mum is 80 and she objects to the idea"
long pause
"are you a christian?" he asks.
"i'm agnostic" I answer
"that one of those chinese pagan religions?" he says
I say "yup"
He walks on down the sidewalk, i finish my cig.

dys, when somebody asks you if you're agnostic, you're supposed to say, "I don't know." Wink

Thinking about Rae. I let my heart be my guide. It was the best advice I've ever had or ever acted on. I listened closely.
Love to you sweetie.

Good luck to all of you who are trying to quit ciggies. It was cold turkey for me 20 years ago. If I had a cigarrette tomorrow, I'd probably be smoking a pack a day by next week. What a horrible habit.

That is not fair, fire and ice. To say what you are, with no knowledge of the hows and whys of how you got there......maddening.

When Mars was here before.
I wonder what was on this exact spot 60,000 years ago.

Hey, olen. Welcome to A2K. This just popped into my head:

Way beyond the hills in Idaho
Where yawning canyons greet the sun
As it smiles above the trees in Idaho
To say another night is done
Warm summer winds toss the waving grain
Calling me back to my home again
To dream sweet memories of long ago
Beyond the hills in Idaho.

Well, according to those who know, Mars passed quite close to earth. Smile And today, we get a repeat performance.

Mars is the opening movement to Holst's "The Planets." the second movement is Venus. I think its an omen of our times.
