Insane that the Village Idiot in Chief begged Olmert to bomb Damascus during the war in Lebanon. That very well could have led to all out WW3. The only good thing about the Presidunce's insanity is that most Americans now realize just how mad he is. http://z.about.com/d/politicalhumor/1/0/S/L/bush_dunce.jpg

Well, he actually is there - only the link above led to that old news.

Well, once again Congress and the President have different opinions .... the war about the Iraq Study Group goes in the next round.

For Senatores, you'd think they'd know about the Logan Act. I hope DoJ looks into this, but they won't, they're too afraid they'll offend someone.
So far, that i know of, Senators
Evan Bayh
Bill Nelson
John Kerry
Arlan Spector
Have gone to Syria.
Bill Richardson invited N. Korean diplomats to N. Mexico, for a chat.
I'd also like to know why the N. Koreans were granted visas.

Some politicians just can't get it through their head some simple civics lessons. This is a constitutional republic, wherein they should not self appoint themselves to run around the world talking with leaders of other countries on our behalf, especially leaders of countries that have demonstrated themselves to be enemies of free societies, and us.

Diplomats get visas in the USA?

Btw, the two Korean diplomats were Han Song Ryol, North Korea's deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, and Mun Jong Chol, first secretary to the United Nations.

I like it that you differ between "free societies" and "us"!

Here are a couple of current articles:

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/12/13/nelson.syria.ap/index.html

http://www.weeklystandard.com/weblogs/TWSFP/2006/12/all_aboard_the_damascus_train.html
Quote:
No word from Nelson on whether Damascus will stop resupplying Hezbollah with weapons and assassinating government officials in Beirut.

Indeed.

Certainly Senators Nelson and Kerry are doing nothing but undermining the president of the United States.

Kerry's and Nelson's trip is nothing more than two libs deciding to act on the Iraq Surrender Group's report when the administration has rejected the plan. Nelson and Kerry would like to make everything happen that was published in that report.

Even an ultra-liberal senator from California, Barbara Boxer, saw the light concerning Syria, and along with Rick Santorum, collaborated to put forth S 982, "Syria Accountability Act of 2003"
http://www.theorator.com/bills108/s982.html
Quote:
To halt Syrian support for terrorism, end its occupation of Lebanon, stop its development of weapons of mass destruction, cease its illegal importation of Iraqi oil, and hold Syria accountable for its role in the Middle East, and for other purposes.

Syria has a horse in the Iraq power race (Syria was sanctioned by the U.N. from importing oil from Iraq to the tune of $1.2 Billion a year).

Taking the Syrian government at its word, as if the Syrian government were some neutral country like Switzerland to help "stabilize" Iraq, is a lot like the Fox telling the farmer that it will do everything to help stabilize the death rate among chickens in the henhouse.

These two arrogant democrat senators, obviously emboldened by the minor victories in the 2006 elections, are as dangerous as they are naive and foolish.

Kerry has a history of selling this nation out. He did it in North Vietnam and there is no question this leopard's spots never changed. He reminds me of Ron Silver's character in the original "Die Hard", when Ellis gets shot in the head after attempting to negotiate with terrorist thieves, following his fit of demented cocaine-induced braggadocio.

Gladly, the non-naive and non-foolish Republicans still dominate after their minor losses. Laughing

If we are going to talk about Bush and respect for law a our constitutional republic Bush warrants no allegiance whatsoever. You cannot pledge allegiance to the constitution and bush at the same time, and as it is stated by the founding fathers the constitution come before the president.

All American leaders should act in the interest of the country and the world and disregard the worst president in American history.

----------------------------------

Example of Bush's respect for American law and our constitutional republic. (Sparta republic)

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 24, 2006 - Presidential signing statements that assert President Bush's authority to disregard or decline to enforce laws adopted by Congress undermine the rule of law and our constitutional system of separation of powers, according to a report released today by a blue-ribbon American Bar Association task force.

The task force report states, "From the inception of the Republic until 2000, Presidents produced fewer than 600 signing statements taking issue with the bills they signed. According to the most recent update, in his one-and-a-half terms so far, President George Walker Bush ... has produced more than 800."
