I'm guessing here, but he bears a striking resemblance to Marshall Von Hindenburg.
I'm pretty sure he's a Field Marshall whoever he is. I don't think that they ever wore christmas hats though.

It is a christmas quiz they are doing at school so all historical figures are desguised some how. Im pretty sure that his first name starts with an 'O' but thanks for the reply. It should be somebody very famous.

The uniter of the German Republics into one state. One of the most important figures in World History. Without him, we probably wouldn't have had two world wars.

Wow, so that's the guy. I remember reading about him before. It's interesting seeing pictures of all these people. Makes them more real. They were real people, like you and me...

You are probably wron in the judgement about the world wars. Bismark would likely not have allowed the "Reinsurance Treaty" with Russia to have lapsed, and would therefore prevented the Franco Russian Alliance, which more than any other factor created the time-constrained instability that turned a local issue in the Balkans into the opening of the World War. Without WWI there would likely have been no Russian Revolution; no Hitler; and no WWII.
