10,000 more troops to Iraq to cut down on the violence there.
FNC
About time somebody did something along the lines of fighting fire with fire. In Desret 1 we had 500,000 troops on the ground & air power, cleaned that up in short order. Now they need to get on with it, I want our grandson home more than anybody that doesn't have anyone there, (including the preening politicos) & IMO, the best way to get them home short of cuttin & runnin is fight like hell.

Put a number out that you think would work. I didn't say that 10,000 would be enough, I said it's something. I'd prefer to see the 500,000 that we had in DS.
So, come on now Gen Westmoreland, give it your best shot.

150,000 might make a dent in the level of violence, 10,000 will just increase the number of US targets. Yes the Westmoreland idiocy of body counts certainly worked well in Vietnam. Under Westmoreland's leadership, the United States "won every battle until it lost the war."

I agree with the 10,000 not being enough, not even sure about the 150,000.
Westmoreland carried out his masters orders, McNamara/Johnson.

Your displayed ignorance about Westmoreland equates with your displayed ignorance about pretty much everything you write about.

Um...It's the troops that are CAUSING the violence over there. I sincerely doubt that adding more fuel will cut down the fire.

Yes I did, out of your ignorance. You doing a quick google search obviously did not do you any good regarding Vietnam war history. Your ignorance remains as it was; totally intact.
