Hello everyone!

Can anyone translate this for me? I don't know if it's German or some Irish dialect.

Hama norðrljós

Thank you

"norðrljós" is Norse for Northern Lights, also Old English for the same, and "Hama" is the name of a god (related to/derived from Heimdahl) which in various forms appears throughout Nordic and Old English mythology - the word "hama" also in Nordic languages refers to a skin, pelt, cloak, or covering depending on context.

Dunno how any of that's gonna help you any more than it confuses you Mr. Green

While certainly is what timber pointed out above ...
Søket på - hama norðrljós - fant ikke samsvar med noen dokumenter. ... Which is Norse and google's reply in that language that hama norðrljós couldn't be found on the web.

Which gives me the impression that 'hama' isn't Norse ...

it looks like some language from iceland or greenland judging from the letters. But from what i know it is old norse.
Hama means something like home, spirit or sacred place.

I found this link that might be useful:

Re: Translation
Hama means "pass" and norðrljós means "the salt". Of course, the above definitions may also be correct.
