translate english to latin
thank you George.

I have been given another version "Vera defensio per rectam actem". Can you explain the details of how one is more right than the other?

Sure.

Both "vera defensio" and "defensio vera" mean "true defence"
I chose "defensio vera" because it is more common in Latin to have the
adjective (vera) follow the noun it modifies (defensio).

"Per" means "through" and is the same in both.

I assume that in the other translation "actem" is a word meaning "action."
I am unfamilliar with it. But if we assume that it is a valid word, then
"rectam actem" and "actionem rectam" have the same meaning, but with
different ordering of noun and adjective as above.
