I am only 14 and have had achne for mabe about 2-3 years. . .

How do I get rid of it? I am getting made fun of by family. AND ppl at school.

I want to get rid of it... I want to get rid of it NOW!!

I have a dermatoligist.. but I dont think she knows anything!

Acne is the scourge of the young teenager. Happily, in a few years, it will most probably clear up by itself. But that information is not helping you now.

The most important thing is to keep your face absolutely clean, and keep your fingers away from the pimples, no matter how much you are dying to squeeze them. When you wash your face, wash gently, with a clean, not too rough, washcloth. Acne is caused by bacteria, which can be spread through vigorous washing. Ask your druggist about products containing benzoyl peroxide. That ingredient appears to control acne to a great extent.

What has your dermatologist done for you? There are a lot of effective treatments now for acne. I remember using a creme that looked like liquid makeup, that covered up and dried the blemishes. Talk to your parents, and tell them that you are unhappy with your doctor. Then get a second opinion from another doctor.
