I know these are the long bones of our arms/legs. I was just wondering how can one tell if they're at the end of their growth? I know everybody is different. For instance some guys start young and end young 12-17. Then other guys are growing from 15-(still growing). I also know a person who went from 6'0" to 6'6" when he turned 25 (because he's genetically predisposed to do so). Is there any conventional way of us testing ourselves or do we just have to ask the doctor about it?

X-rays will give you a pretty good idea if the physes are closed.

Not really a DIY project.
