Another peculiarly useless thought - what about, gads, more mirrors? Nice crisp new mirrors over the old ones?

Ok, Ok, leaves room pretending she didn't say that..

This is along the lines of what I would do, something Mucha-esque, of course:

If I can get the scanner at home to work (why are all those lights flashing?) - I'll post something from the current issue of Metropolitan Home.

just when I was going to cancel the subscription because there's NEVER anything I like anymore ... there's an issue like the current one, where I've already dog-eared about 10 pages.

it took a month for me to figger out what was wrong with the scanner, and the info's errrrrrr kinda redundant now, but the mag's been in the scanner for a month so I'm posting the goldarn thing

(I still think it's a great idea - now to find the spot for my own variation ...)

That's very cool!

(My scanner's been acting up too. Should we send them to scanner bootcamp?)

If bootcamp works for the scanners like it did for Cleo, I am ALL for it.

Oh wow. That is cool.

Thinking..... thinking......

Thanks, eBeth.

Right now I'm "repurposing" a lot of things in my house and I could see something like this really fitting in.

One of my favorite places ever was in a friend's house. His mother was an English teacher. She had allowed them to write favorite quotes and passages from books all over one wall. I've been thinking of trying someting like that but for me it would work much better with images.

Thinking.... thinking.....

Now our lights are flickering....

I just watched two 50+ foot pines blow over in our neighbor's yard.

The wind is immense. And spooky.

So I'm signing out and shutting down my computer here in just a few minutes.

I wanted someone to know just in case I'm off line for a bit.

It was a nasty storm. We have a lot of branchs down but no real damage.

Our poor neighbor though - his backyard is filled with tree. I suppose we'll have to arrange a backyard cleanup for him this weekend.

He came over to check on us and we were standing on the porch watching his tree sway when it fell right over. Mr. B went over with him to assess the damage and luckily everything was okay. Well, it didn't hit his house so "okay" in that sense.

The coast was hit really hard - 95 MPH winds. A total disaster out there.

I posted notes to Piffka and Reyn on other threads since Washington State and BC were both hit pretty hard too.
