It isn't obstruction when you are in the majority.

Aw.... It's a nice counterweight to the radical wing of the Republican Party sitting in the White House, wouldn't you say?

Let me be perfectly clear-- using the term "radical wing" to refer to progressive Democrats (who were very active in this election BTW) is just continuing the tiresome namecalling of this election.

This is not appropriate for a "Congratulations" thread.

Do you think we can stop the name-calling for a day?

I have predicted and wished for the Deomocrats to win the midterm elections. What better way to assure a Republican president in 2008 but to show the country what happens when Democrats gain power. The backlash from thie results of this election will be over powering in 2008 and I look forward to that election.

Ah, excuse me BBB, the full credit must go to George Bush, his administration and the corrupt Republicans who, in their arrogance, thought they were above the law.

We must also thank Bush and Cheney for repeatedly telling the American public that they don't care about their opinions or views on Iraq. They will go ahead and do what they want and the public can go to hell.

Quote:
"It may not be popular with the public. It doesn't matter," Cheney said. "That's exactly what we're doing. We're not running for office. We're doing what we think is right."

Well Dickie, I guess the administration will now have to suffer from the consequences for your arrogance.

Guess what the House of Representatives has Dickie.

Subpoena power.

Montana vote won
Just reported that Democrat Tester of Montana has won the senate election.

Only state left is Virginia, which the Democrat is winning with a margin of 7,000 votes before the ballot count is complete. You can bet the Republican lawyers will try to find a way to win. Virginia's voting machines are manufactured by Hart InterCivic. there is no paper trail to confirm the vote. Great time to put a hacker to work.

I will say that I have already noticed a difference between the 2 parties, and it is striking.

The dems, after 2000,2002,and 2004 cried "foul" when they lost those elections.
They immediately threatened or filed lawsuits, claimed that there had been massive voter fraud, and every other tactic they could think of.

They even had a small army of 2000 lawyers ready to immediately file a challenge to any election result they didnt like.

The repubs on the other side are licking their wounds and trying to figure out what happened.

I can tell them what happened, they screwed up.
They didnt take this election seriously, and they got complacent.

However,I have not heard of one single instance of a repub that lost crying "foul" about the results at all.
Why is that?

Good comeback, E_Brown . . .

In fact, OE posted a story more than once today about Republicans alleging voter fraud by "hackers" in at least one race. I'm not going to do your leg work for you, though, MM. I'm sure you're more comfortable in the company of your strawmen, with your head buried in the sand.

You didn't quite get that right there, mm.

Quote:

Ever wonder why questions of voter fraud are only raised when Democrats lose? When liberals prevail, not a peep is heard about intimidation, fraud or hanging chads. All but forgotten are the ten thousand lawyers standing by, ready to jump in and save our electoral system from the faulty voting machines. I guess the machines must be working after all, since they tallied in favor of the democrats. Whew, that's a relief.

Rightbias commentary

and the freepers are pretty sure there was fraud

Quote:
What Happened To All The Cries Of 'Voter Fraud'?

Answer: The people committing the fraud (100% democrats) successfully stole the election.
