Ted Haggard fired

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Rev. Ted Haggard was dismissed Saturday as leader of the megachurch he founded after a board determined the influential evangelist had committed "sexually immoral conduct," the church said Saturday.

Haggard had resigned two days earlier as president of the National Association of Evangelicals, where he held sway in Washington and condemned homosexuality, after a Denver man named Mike Jones claimed to have had drug-fueled trysts with him.

"Our investigation and Pastor Haggard's public statements have proven without a doubt that he has committed sexually immoral conduct," the New Life Church's Overseer Board said in a statement.

Haggard was "informed of this decision," the statement said, and he "agreed as well that he should be dismissed."

Haggard is a firm supporter of President George W. Bush, and is often credited with rallying evangelicals behind Bush during the 2004 election. Author Jeff Sharlet reports that Haggard "talks to. . . Bush or his advisers every Monday" and opines that "no pastor in America holds more sway over the political direction of evangelicalism."

Haggard's "Muscle Stud:" The Ads That Lured Bush's Spiritual Advisor...

From bodyworkformen.com

The gay prostitute at the center of the scandal over Evangelican leader Rev. Ted Haggard appears here in an ad promoting his services.

According to the escort, Mike Jones, Haggard originally found Jones using the site rentboy.com.

More pictures can be seen here, on his personal website, which boasts, "I offer a deep tissue and swedish style massage with the pleasure of the man in mind. If you like a strong muscle man to bring pleasure to you then please call me." The personal site also lists Jones' rates at:

"In calls at my place in Capitol Hill of Denver: $70.00 per hour $90.00 1 1/2 hrs.
Out calls start at $100.00."

Apparently, he's a FIRMER supporter than anybody knew! And is it a surprise that he was rallying BEHIND Bush? God knows what else was going on back there!

Yeah...he bought meth for himself, from a gay prostitute, a man with whom he had connections, but threw the meth away.

What a waste of good meth....and a guaranteed lay.

"Just in, he now admits having sex with the male prostitute." Wow. And to think he spent much of his life spreading homophobia and fighting against equal rights for gays.

Copy & Paste from CNN Article

Evangelical pastor Ted Haggard confessed on Sunday to a "lifelong" sexual problem, and said he was "a deceiver and a liar," in a letter read to his New Life Church.

"There is part of my life that is so repulsive and dark that I've been warring against it all of my adult life," he said in the letter.

This proves the point that those who protest too much usually have something to hide.

Too bad they can't just accept themselves and others for who and what they are.

Ted has succesfully pissed off or at least made himself the laughing stock of almost every group in the US. Hes got nowhere to go to practise any of his "pocket picking for Jesus"

Lessee , the really Fundamentalists religions have lost leaders like
Jimmy Swaggart

Jimmy Baker

Ted Haggard

Jerry Fallwell.

The only one of the entire group who had retained any of his credibility (IMHO) is Billy Graham and his son "little" Billy.

Then, of course , weve got the entire Catholic Church thing.

This leading by example is tough as hell for these preachers innit?
