American bra or dress sizes. Are they the same as the UK?

I'm not sure that things are really that much cheaper -- depending on what you want to get, I guess.

That was quick. Thank you sozobe. I've looked at the dollar and it seems to be about 1.90 per British pound, so i'm working on 2 to 1 because thats easier.(not that good at maths )
Its hard to tell from your link wether your clothing is cheaper as I'd really have to see them to compare quality, but I had some cotton stuff from the U.S.A which was superb.
Cha tea, when you say theyre all different, how different? I'm buying for me (size 12 to 14 UK) and my sister (size 12). Its allright for me, because I can try the dress on, but I would really like to get one or two for sis, but shes a bit smaller. You aren't saying that bra sizes are that different are yio? I'm 36D in the UK and that surely should be the same over there?

By the way are you both American? From New York maybe?

From the Boden chart, it looks like you would wear a size 8 or 10 and your sister would wear a size 6 or 8. (American sizes.)

One thing to keep in mind though is that American sizes vary from brand to brand, too. It's really best to just try things on. (I have things in my closet that all fit but range over about 4 sizes.)
