Shamless was rubbish imo. Predictable formulaic and some bad acting...

Laughs one I think

meanwhile on mtv southpark, Kyle and Cartmen were both imitating Iquarus and Cartmen nearly got sliced by a serial killer.

laughs several

and after that STRUTTER I had no idea it was on very funny but seen some bits before. However Base Humping was novel.

(Shameless was so slow you could switch between channels without missinng much if anything)

Yes- it was from Mahler.

Thanks. I would never have thought it meant that. Now I know why I love Mahler so much. I have become lost myself. It's comforting to know some other f***er has too.

Have you heard Kathleen Ferrier sing it when she knew she was dying? It broke eveybody's heart mine included.

She came from Lancashire you know. If you come off the M6 at Junction 28 and head east until you come to the Blackburn to Preston old road and turn west you will come to the house where she was reared after about 3 miles. There's a plaque on it. I once went to look.

I thought Shameless was below par as well...

Best line of the night?

"Don't blame me if you get Polycistic ovaries"

"Couldn't you just die for Mahler?"

Morning everyone!

So in case you are wondering. My daughter needs to have a police check for the voluntary work she will be doing.
They wanted her original passport sent to England which we declined to do. Very clearly told them She is currently living in Australia.

The British criminal records bureau got back to us.

If you are unable to supply original documentation an acceptable alternative is fingerprints. please present yourself in person for fingerprinting at (addresss city in England).

Of course, there was a much ruder reply that could've been made, but I resisted like a good boy should.

I reckon that an Arsenal supporter won't be too popular in Liverpool today.

Mornin' everyone.

The CRB in the UK is currently not able to conduct overseas criminal record checks. International students, those without British Citizenship and British Citizens with a significant period of overseas residency will therefore require a criminal records check or certificate of good conduct from the home/overseas country for any volunteer opportunity in the UK that requires a CRB Disclosure.

Correct Walter. But not so much something different. It will involve working in her "chosen area". She will see the world and get international experience.

Dont be surprised if she is producing eurovision in 5 years.

CRB (criminal records Bureau) (she will be working with minors)

Confirming Your identity
1 document from group 1 plus 2 from group 2

Group 1
Original passport (any nationality)
UK issue drivers licence
EU Photo identity
HM forces ID
UK Firearms licence.

Do you think theres ANY chance we would consider sending her original pasport to the UK?

Hmmm possibly the rest of them are out as well.

.

I believe that you can have a copy of her passport certified by visiting the British consulate/high commission and having them certify that it is a true copy of the original.

This works for the Anti-Money Laundering regulations in the UK, anyway.

Thank you KP
I have been to the Melbourne embassy today. No chance. It may be possible in Canberra at the British high commision/Consulate. (This would be a 6 hr drive for us.)

The path we have determined is get everything copied and notorised by a Justice of the Peace or certified notary. Apply for an Australian police check. Send copies and police check to CRB and to the organisation she will be working with.

Fingers crossed.
