Could you tell me what "extended" means in the following passage, please? Thanks.

Option 1.

It means that the deadline has been put back to a later date, by the look of it.

The time for submission has been extended.


There is no indication of the new "extended" deadline, though.



Option 2.

The date shown may ACTUALLY be the extended date. The original date, having been earlier, when these deadlines were first drawn up.






You'd better check it out with the author(s) of this document.
