@Kolyo,
I've always felt Djokovic has never received the respect he deserves from the general public. Part of that was young Djokovic was a bit of the head case - lots of talent, squandered at times. Compare that to Nadal and Federer who came on the scene as teenagers and demonstrated a spectacular upward arc. To me, that makes his story better. During the Serbian war,
he kept his tennis skills up by hitting in an empty swimming pool. When his skills came up short against the two legends ahead of him, he dedicated himself to fitness and nutrition. Just about all players have some flaw, some small weakness that can be exploited by the right player. According to Federer, Djokovic really doesn't have one. He might not have the best forehand, backhand, serve, but he has one of the best. Basically, you are going to have to stay out there and take it to him. He gives you nothing. He is also reputed to be a great guy off the court as well. He interacts with the fans, his comments are well thought out and insightful, you can find him
dancing with the towel guy at the US Open even though the match ended after midnight or doing a
Saturday Night Live disco impression with Serena Williams at the Wimbledon Champions Dinner. I love Federer's artistry and Nadal's hustle, but Djokovic is the guy I'm pulling for.
