Yes, miller, it works, and I'm not sure you need to buy a drlll for your purposes.
You might well benefit from a studfinder though, and as I said, I have two, and could part with one. That is, if you start looking askance at blank walls.

Lowes is advertising a cordless drill with a built-in studfinder.

Yeh, I have trouble saying studfinder with a 'straight' face..









What I also like about the studfinder is its ability to pinpoint where the wiring is.
