After a year and a half of talking to lender after lender I was able to get a loan for a weekend getaway house in Michigan. I just got back from the closing and have agreed upon the price with the seller (a friend of mine).

Its actually a trailer on three and a half acres of land with the Paw Paw river going through it. I have been told that there are northerns and bass in it but I will have to see them to believe it.

First thing I am going to do is put in a hot tub and deck off the existing porch. Any other suggestions or tips for someone that is new to the world of septic systems and wells?

Yep, all three and a half acres. I still have to go through the formalities of getting the title to the land but in all respects the deal is closed. No set date for the housewarming but everyone is more than welcome to stop on by. (if they can help build a deck :wink: )
