My husband and I are trying to conceive and I was wondering what my chances of conceiving twins were. There are 3 sets of twins on my dad's side. His mother was a twin, his father was a twin, and his nephews(my cousins) are twins. There are no twins that I know of on my mother's side of the family. Does anyone know what my chances of conceiving twins are?
I have read that a tendency fraternal twins (born from two different eggs)
can be inherited from the mother's side.
A tendency to Identical twins seems to be inherited from the father's family.
Just curious, do you know where you read that?

Sorry, but I came across that fact long, long ago.
