WOAD, A MEMBER OF THE BROCCOLI FAMILY produces far more of the chemicals that seem to prevent cancer than broccoli,so researchers are looking for ways of utilizing these chemicals.
Woad was used to make body paint by the ancient CELTS.
For a minute there I thought you had a speech impediment, you wascal.
I only knew woad as a source of blue dye - I wouldn't have imagined you could eat it, or that it even related to foodstuff.
