The current chaos is just the most recent itteration of a conflict dating to the closing decades of the 19th Century. After reading all the articles you recommended, why does the U.S. government remain silent in this issue? which I think should be one of their main priorities since Lebanon is a protectorate of Christian ure against majorly Muslim Middle East. Should this be one of the strategy target of U.S penetration in the east aside from the war with Iraq and possible conflict with Iran?
