I'd like to know what do you call "crosnes" or "Cao Shi Can" (Stachys Affinis, see photo) in your own language. Especially when there is no such a thing in your part of the world, how would you name it by describing a prominent feature of it in your own language. Please don't forget to give me an English description of the word used in your reply.

if the photo does not appear, please go to:http://www.goodwincreekgardens.com/CatalogSpecific.a

Apparently the plant has several "common names" in english. I referred to common names on another thread you started about this plant. Common names are simply that, names that people commonly use for a plant. Sometimes several plants have the same common name. Sometimes the common name is confusing, as I mentioned before about 'heavenly bamboo', as it is not a bamboo.

I don't call this plant anything but Stachys affinis, as I tend to only use the latin names for plants.
