"he was only on the trip for like 6 or 7 days, and he surfed probably 20 times on my 2 times"
does that mean anything in english?
i guess the person is saying that the guy is talking about surfed 20 times when he, the person talking, only surfed twice but i never heard that in english.
can someone please confirm what i'm saying?
That sounds right. Outside surfing jargon it would be more common to say "20 times to my 2 times," which is slang shorthand for "20 times as compared to my 2 times."
There are comparable vernacular expression that use the word "on," though. In team sports, if there are 4 players on one side confronting only 1 player on the other side, it's called a "4 on 1." If your brother is 6 years older than you, you could say "He has 6 years on me"; if he's 6 feet taller, you could say "He has 6 feet on me."
