When I look back on the video footage that we've done I didn't want to actually watch the footage that we had last night, cause I prefer to look at it down the line and just shake my head and go god I made an idiot of myself or just look back and say yeah it was a good crew and it was good people, it was good times so.

here, i don't understand what down the line means. i guess the expression is "to look at it down the line".

any help on this one?Smile

I would say it means: "later on (in the process."

is it like The definition of the idiom?

because googlizing around didn't clarify it for me. it seems that the expression is used in so many different contexts.
